The Race

Thursday, 17th of March 2011.
Meet up at Kennedys Pub, Gammel Kongvej 23, at 13.00

So how does the race work?

Well you turn up, we tie you together, and then you run!

Pre-registration is not necessary- registration for the race starts at 13:00 in Kennedys Bar, where participants will pay the entrance fee, 50DKK, CASH ONLY, and receive their route map and pub stamp page.

Once registered, you head down to The Shamrock Inn where you will be tied to your partner. The race will begin at 15:00.

From The Shamrock Inn teams will race to The Globe, The Irish Rover, Bloomsday, to the finish line at The Dubliner.

Participants are asked to drink a ½ pint of Carlsberg in each pub. If you don't want to drink alcohol, or if you're not yet drinking age (Children can also participate, but must be accompanied by an adult), then we won't force you. When you register, simply tell one of the organisers, and we can arrange for Saftevand (Ribena) instead.

And even if you don't fancy running around Copenhagen in 3 Legged style, it doesn't mean you can't show up on the day and cheer on the racers!

If the race isn't your thing, or you can't make it on the day, there are collection boxes in all the bars participating in the race, so pop on in for a pint and make a donation!

The Rules

Big Paddy is watching you!!

The race must be completed on foot! (no taxis, bikes, skates, roller blades, or skate boards....Yes- it has been tried!)

There are undercover race organisers strategically placed throughout the city and if anyone caught cheating will be disqualified from the prizes!

Keep an eye on your watch!!

This year we're putting a time limit on the race and all participants must finish the race in 2 hours. We learnt our lesson last year standing in the snow outside the Dubliner for near 4 hours!

Participants must wear GREEN!

OK so this isn't really a rule, but please make the effort!
It's the colour of the day- so get green and boogie people!
